How To Know A Person By David Brooks
David Brooks is the famous author of the book “The Road to Character.” He was recently on CNN talking about the launch of this book (Thanksgiving 2023). He talked about how, in today’s society, we’ve lost the art of how to interact with each other socially. It struck a chord with me as I am raising two daughters, and am anxious to improve my skills in this area so I can pass them along to them.
Feel Good Productivity By Ali Abdaal
This is Ali Abdaal’s first book (released on Christmas Day, 2023). Ali has become an online leader in productivity content through his highly viewed YouTube Channel and blog. What started as sharing note-taking and studying tips online while he went through medical school has turned into a growing self-help empire.
Storyworthy By Matthew Dicks
This book was recommended by several people including Ali Abdaal. Years ago, I had the pleasure of taking a course about Storytelling at the Nonprofit Leadership Center, and it was a powerful experience. I am eager to start this book and continue the storytelling journey.
Shaun Androff
Executive Vice President
I am really enjoying this book as it deep dives into many sections of our lives, work included. If you’re in a pivot period — and still bridging the space between where you are and where you want to be — remember that the person you’re becoming is already within you. The journey is convincing your mind to act consistently on what your heart already knows it wants to do.

The 5 Langauages of Appreciation in the Workplace By Gary Chapman and Paul White
This book is a very fun read! It will give you the tools to improve staff morale, create a more positive workplace, and increase employee engagement. How? By teaching you to effectively communicate authentic appreciation and encouragement to employees, co-workers, and leaders. Most relational problems in organizations flow from this question: Do people feel appreciated? This book will help you answer, “Yes!”
Why Partner With Hiregy?
Enthusiasm. Dedication. Insight. It’s rare to find all these qualities in a single employee, much less an entire team. But just like Hiregy finds exceptional hires for our clients, we find them for ourselves. The Hiregy team loves to come to work every day because we love what we do.
Our team is driven by a simple belief: Engaged, two-way partnerships are the cornerstone of greatness. And at Hiregy, we define “engaged” a little differently than other recruiting firms:
- We pride ourselves on being responsive, trustworthy, and transparent. In fact, these attributes are key to The Hiregy Promise, and we hold ourselves accountable to it every day.
- We don’t simply fill positions; we work as a team, immersing ourselves in your culture and needs, and tailoring every placement for your success.
- Our two-way partnership approach means that we’re always looking for ways to make your hiring process faster and easier—including taking on repetitive tasks on your behalf, such as interview scheduling and equipment onboarding.
